Although not overly surprising, especially
since I've been expecting this to happen for awhile - largely due to something
called the Mexican Grand Prix, now slated for 2015, nevertheless it's great
news to hear that 'Checa, aka Sergio Perez will indeed be upon the F1 grid next
year and beyond, having been announced as thee 'Hulkster's (Nico Hulkenberg)
team-mate.
Thus, both of this year's Force India drivers
are now searching for rides with Paul di Resta's future looking the bleakish in
regards to F1 drives for '14 while 'Yo Adrian (Sutil) looks to have the inside
track upon one of Sauber's seats with NO word on where Esteban Gutierrez will pop-up at? Although I'd like to see him
swap seats with "Guido-the-Dutchman" (Giedo van der Garde next year leaving
the scramble for "Pay-drivers" at the back end of the grid, i.e.;
Marussia and Caterham - where they belong; YOUCH!
As there seems to be the inevitable 'Scrum occurring
over Van der
Garde's and Max Chilton's access to multi-million sums, while
I'd not be surprised to see Sweden's Marcus Eriksson land on the grid too, as
unfortunately I think KOVY's (Heikki Kovalainen) time as a Formula 1 racing
driver has passed by...
And rumours abound over where Di Resta will ultimately wind-up, from Indy Cars to
DTM and possibly places in-between,
including a possible "Simulator Jockey" role with Mercedes GP? As I'd
guess that DTM is his most likely landing spot, but we'll see - as the Scotsman
is currently tied-up in litigation regarding his former F1 manager, some chap
named Anthony Hamilton. (Yep, Lewis's father...)
