Was sad to see the news that Brian Hart had
passed away at the age of 77 recently, as I've always had an affinity for
Messer Hart who tried valiantly building his own F1 'lumps as a very small
privateer effort, as I can only imagine what would of happened if Hart had had
the might of factory support behind his 'lil 1.5-liter Hart 415T turbo lump
that competed against the onslaught of Honda, Porsche and Ferrari during the
1980's, as the Toleman team was trying to do things unconventionally as Hart's
engines always did their best, with the zenith being Ayrton Senna's second
place finish in the rain in Monaco in 1984...
Hart would go onto develop a V-10 naturally
aspirated engine for the plucky Irishman EJ', aka Eddie Jordan with the engines
bearing fruit for the team in the second year of the engine contract (1993-94)
with Rubens Barrichello finishing on the podium and scoring a pole in those
Sasol-liveried Jordan-Hart's...
