Otay, so this news is not unexpected, after
all Force India F1 co-owner Subrata Roy Sahara has been
literally dragging his heels over refunding of some $3.9-billion dollars that
the Indian Government says he owes to investors...
And thus after turning himself in and
spending a brief period in a country club prison estate, the Supreme Court of
India has revoked this privilege and sent him directly to jail; telling him not
to pass GO or try collecting his $200!
As the court has denied his bail requests and
told him that he'll remain incarcerated in the Tihar Jail on Contempt charges until he decides
to Pony up the missing money which the government now claims is a staggering
$5.4b, as in BILLION due to interest!
Hmm? What long-term effects will this have
upon the plucky Force India Formula 1 team, as after all, the team's chief
Playah' Dr. Vijay
Mallya himself isn't exactly in rosy financial
standing with the continued collapse of his Kingfisher empire...
