As typical, the somewhat surprising news that
Max Verstappen has been announced as Scuderia Toro Rosso's newest Young Gun to
drive for the Faenza based team in 2017 came after I'd already scribbled 'bout
his impending rise towards the pinnacle 'O motorsports, nee Formula 1, as I'd thought he'd need some more polishing
before being granted ascendency to F1.
Yet his meteoric rise makes me think of somebody known as thee
"Iceman," nee Kimi Raikkonen...
As I've briefly read Max's bio, and was very
impressed by how much of a BAD ARSE Karting driver he was, with multiple
championships to his credit, not to mention eight wins to date in Formula 3.
While it wasn't surprising to Mwah, that
'JEV, aka Jean-Eric Vergne is the driver being given his walking papers by the
'lil Bulls. And with the Toro Rosso roster full, this would seemingly only
leave room for Carlos Sainz Jr. to do some sort of deal with Caterham instead?
