Having missed the Italian Grand Prix this
year whilst off playin' in the Sand Dunes of the "Other
Florence," nee Oregon, ironically I
totally missed out upon la Scuderia
Supremo Luca Cordero di Montezemolo's firing! Err,
resignation; Yeah, that's the ticket...
As I cannot say I'll exactly miss A-L-L of
the HOT AIR Luca's breathed upon us over the years...
Yet, one must indeed wonder if Ferrari is in
trouble, or upon a disturbing Downturn, with its racing fortunes in Formula 1 having not exactly been
great lately; Uh Duh!
Although, naturally Maranello, along with le
'Reggie, aka Renault seemingly have been outspent by Mercedes in the
development of this year's PU's, nee Power Units, which seems to be a major
source of Ferrari and Renault powered teams lack of performance this season -
for which Maranello's "Old Guard," nee Stefano Domenicali,
Luca Marmorini and Luca di Montezemolo have all now fallen upon their swords...
And while I'm certainly NOT perfect when it comes
to my reporting facts, speeling and grammar; Hya! Nevertheless, there are two
significant mistakes in the article above that leaped out at me.
First of all, Ferrari went onto another four consecutive
world championships after winning the title for the first time in 21yrs in the
year 2000; scoring 5 consecutive Driver's titles along with 6 consecutive Constructor's
crowns (championships) circa' 1999-2004!
Secondly, la Scuderia last won the world
championship in 2007, not '08...
UPDATE
Although it's a
pretty long article, nonetheless I found it worth reading as it gives a pretty
good insight on the current state of la Scuderia's current leadership woes...
