While the optimist in Mwah wants Caterham to
succeed in the long run, the cynic in me wonders if the team is simply in a
really, bad, tormented death-nail? As who'd really wanna buy the team if it's
true that the Constructor license cannot be transferred out of Malaysian
control?
As Grizzled Journo' Joe Saward was the first
to break the news, as far as I can tell, pointing out how a Caterham F1 staff
member had alerted him to the fact that whilst the "Fair 'N Balanced"
media was A-L-L awash in the splendor of Caterham's successful crowd funding
scheme, which oh, by the way is a client of the Administrator's... The
remaining staff were made redundant!
Thus, the story, so to speak has gone
"viral," and according to which source I rely upon, i.e.; The
Guardian, Telegraph, Autosport, Daily Mail, Reuters or grandprix.com, as which
one of these isn't like the others? To which Joe's politely pointed out some of
today's "News sources" are nothing less than "Bottom Feeder's;"
YIKES!
That either 200 or 230 Caterham staff were
coincidently made Redundant on the very same day that team administrator Finbarr O’Connell
was proclaiming the team's "Begging Bowl" success!
Hence, I'll leave I-T to Y'all to decide whether
or not this was simply a 'co-inky-dense? Whilst its funny to Mwah; Ha-Ha? That
apparently the Leafield squad may turn up in Abu Dhabi without any drivers for
its two dated CT05 Renault chassis...
As I think the Alice Powell rumour was just
"Tosh" as Messer Saward puts it, albeit don't think he's specifically
spoken on this topic, as she's still missing one key ingredient, i.e.;
mandatory FIA Superlicense!
And
Jolian Palmer has reportedly
declined, announcing his intentions to race in the season finale Abu Dhabi GP2
race instead.
For good reasons, "K-Squared" (Kamui Kobayashi)
seems apprehensive (or unwanted?) of driving for the team that "Thru Him Under-the-Bus!"
Err, team transporter; Hooah! Yuhs know, when he had "Wink-Wink,
Nudge-Nudge," Brake issues at Sochi. Y'all know when Kamui said
the team was trying to save parts at the Russian Grand Prix.
Germany's Sports Car Ace, three-times Le Mans
winner Andre
Lotterer is apparently contemplating the offer of the ride, while I'd sill hazard a guess that Roberto Merhi will
fill one seat in the Desert; since I'm not really going out on a limb here, with
the 23yr old Spaniard having already done three Friday morning Free Practice
sessions for the team...
