A somewhat quick spin 'round some of the latest
news from Der 'Vurld de Motersporten; Ja Ja!
STONEMAN FOCUSING
ON ICS
2014 GP3 Series Runner-up Dean Stoneman has
apparently thrown his hat into the growing field of would-be 2015 IndyCar
suitors, claiming he's interested in trying his hand in America...
ROSSI TO INDY CARS?
Longtime American F1 hopeful Alexander Rossi
has apparently finally given up on his dreams of becoming America's next
Formula 1 driver after five agonizingly close years of potentially getting his
nod to race in thee pinnacle 'O motorsports after being teased with occasional
Friday morning FP1 (Free Practice) drives for F1 Back-markers the past few
years.
But with the apparent demise of both Caterham
and Marussia, albeit Administrators are still trying to woo somebody into
buying Caterham... Rossi, like many others has now switched his attention to
Indy Cars instead...
SAO PAOLO SMASH-UP
As Mark 'Handlebarz Webber was quick to point
out upon his personal website; "I'm a lucky boy!" After his 'Mega
shunt during the recent Brasilia 6hrs World Endurance Championship (WEC) season
finale, where the 'Aussie crashed his Porsche 919 Hybrid at a very high rate of
speed! Now claiming he doesn't remember anythingy 'bout the accident, but

PORSCHE WINS IN
BRAZIL
While Mark Webber was busy playing
"Pinball Wizard" with his No. 20 Porsche 919 Hybrid, the team's No. 14
sister car driven by ex-Penske Racing Porsche RS Spyder pilot Romain Dumas, ex-Champ
Car and Formula 1 Ace Neil Jani, and Marc Lieb were busy spraying
champagne upon the podium's top step upon giving Porsche its maiden World
Endurance Championship (WEC) victory,
As
naturally, Porsche hopes the win will carry over momentum-wise into
2015, most importantly at next year's iconic 24 Heurs du Mans, where the German
auto manufacturer has announced the addition
of a third "Works" entry spearheaded by Force India F1 driver Nico
Hulkenberg...
NEW 2015 ICS RULES
Not surprisingly, IndyCar has decided to
abandon Standing Starts in 2015, although not ruling them out from future
seasons, along with the continuation of "Double Your Trouble;" Err
Double Points finishes at both Mother Speedway, aka Indianapolis and the season
finale, next year at Sonoma... As really IndyCar; WTF! Have Yuhs heard how F1
wisely decided to scrap their gimmicky season ending double points finale
teaser, a la "Abu Double," in regards to the Fans NOT liking this
contrived manipulation of the championship! Which makes me almost wish for a
driver with fewer season wins taking the title by blitzing the field at
"Snorehoma;" SHEISA!
As now I
really-really-really wanna S-E-E Indy Cars worm its way out of a pickle when
somebody wins the title via this twisted mockery of thy points system. I mean
what's next; Green-White "Chequers or Wreckers" multi attempt
finishes; BITE ME!
