Otay, so I'm way behind the proverbial
'8-ball here, as Y'all probably know this but, since I've been away from thy Keyboard, two further
IndyCar Drivers have been confirmed for 2015 race seats, whilst a third is
expected anytime now; Can You say Sage Karam?
Thankfully, the reigning Indy Lights champion
Gabby Chaves has secured a fulltime racing gig in the B-I-G' CARZ, aka IndyCar's
aboard the Bryan Herta Autosport No. 98 Dallara DW12-Honda racing machine, so
fortunately we don't need to worry over BHA's impending future after rookie
"Union Jack" (Hawksworth) sought refuge in the rosier confines 'O
Super Tex's second A.J. Foyt Enterprises 2015 entry, where the Englishman will
partner elder team-mate 'Taku-san, nee Takuma Sato.
Meanwhile, No Fenders 'Offical Photographer
'CARPETS was the first to break the news to Mwah that CFH Racing has inked Luca Filippi
to fill the void left by Mike "Ice-Ice, Baby" Conway's ascendency to
a fulltime World Endurance Championship (WEC) "Works" factory ride
with Toyota, along with his Formula E stint at Dragon Racing.
Thus, not sure what'll happen to J.R.
Hildebrand, who was patiently waiting in CFHR's Wings in hopes of landing
Conway's vacated "Twistys' Only" (Road/Street Courses) seat, as 26yr
old Italian Filippi's
defection to another Bowtie (Chevrolet) powered team leaves Honda minus one
more "Hired Gun" in its attempt to halt the ever increasing defection
to Chebbie' powered squads!
As still haven't heard any official word on
where my Numero Uno IndyCar boy Justin B-I-G' UNIT Wilson will land, although
think he's still angling for KV "What's Yuh Muh-Call It," right?
while lastly, the worst Silly Season rumour
is the impending confirmation of 2013 Indy Lights champion Sage Karam as Ryan
Briscoe's replacement at the 'Cheepster's 'B-Team, also known as 'G2 in the No.
8 ride, alongside Charlie Kimball's #83 Seester' car for the Brownsburg based
side of the Ganassi garages...
As at least my edjumicated guess upon the
affable 'Aussie landing employment as a Hot Schue for Chevrolet's Corvette C7R
endurance program was well founded, as I
was pleasantly surprised to discover that Messer Briscoe picked up his first
Rolex chronograph upon winning this year's GTLM class by nary a scant half
second-plus over his nearest competitor; So way to GO Ryan!
INTERVIEW: Rolex 24 GTLM winner Ryan Briscoe
As Briscoe will next contest the Sebring 12
Hours, then follow-up with a return to Circuit de la Sarthe this June, this
time aboard a GT Lemans 'Tintop before wrapping up his four race Sports Car
enduro' duties at the Tudor United Sportscar Championship season finale Petit
Le Mans at Road Atlanta in early October.
Meanwhile, don't
expect Dale Coyne to announce his 2015 driver line-up until 43-minutes prior to
the green flag at St Pete; Hya! Whilst "Symona-Symona" (de Silvestro)
is still hopeful of landing an IndyCar seat, perhaps at KVAFS/RT/SH Racing,
with Briscoe hopeful of running once again at 'Mother Speedway this May...
