Looks like I guessed correctly on who would
be Will Stevens team-mate at Marussia for the season opening Australian Grand
Prix. As Manor's announced that 23yr old Spaniard Roberto Merhi, who's manager is a Bloke
named Mark Blundell will partner Stevens for what its
calling the "Opening Rounds," which implies another "Pay
Driver" with a bigger cheque is in the forthcoming future; Hmm? Can Y'all
say "Guido-duh-Dutchman," perhaps?
Although Giedo van der Garde is curiously trying to force
Sauber F1 into taking him back as a racing driver, having just won his court
case in Australia, wrangling over his Arbitration proceedings he's legally won
- making me ponder how much Sauber will need to pay him to 'Bugger Off!
While obviously
Sauber's disappointed over the verdict, especially since Team Principal Monisha
Kaltenborn previously said
they knew what they were doing and Giedo didn't have any legal legs to stand
on; OOPS! As NO idea who'll be in the Sauber cockpit's this weekend, although
you'd have to ARSE-sume Marcus Ericsson would be the odd man out since Felipe
Nasr's "Banking" the team...
But back to our "Tail-ender
Charlie" darlings, as Manor also announced Jordan King, current GP2 competitor
as its Development Driver, as the 21yr old 'Brit is the son of Manor Marussia's
interim Chairman Justin King.
Interestingly, Jordan King will contest this
year's GP2 series for Racing Engineering, the same team that American F1
Hopeful Alexander Rossi will drive for this year...
