As first we LOST the always enjoyable New York Times
Automotive section at the end of last year. And The Detroit
News Automotive section, for which Tacoma Bureau Chief Mary Ellen cheekily
asked: What Automotive section in Detroit; Hooah! Vanished many Moons ago, and now both the London &
New Zealand Telegraph's Motoring sections content has vastly
shrunk; WTF!
As the following story, which immediately
made me think of those Oh, So iconic John Wyer Automotive Gulf Oil GT 40's was
published "Justin-time" for last year's epic 24 Heurs du Mans, for
which Gulf Oil is synonymous with! As the petroleum company was celebrating its then Golden Anniversary of
blastin' down le Mulsanne Straight...
