Silverstone, for which I have NO idea if I'll have a working Telie' by then?
Although I've ZERO intentions of throwing Ye old cathode ray tube model into
thy Puget Sound; Hya! Since isn't that what we did in some 'lil 'Ol Boston
Harbour; Oh Never Mind!
Hence, Sunday Marks the 65th anniversary of
the British Grand Prix, just one of the four remaining original races from the
modern day's F1 1950 Calendar, which comprised of seven rounds: Britain,
Monaco, Indianapolis, Switzerland, Belgium, France and Italy. As the latter two venues,
Spa-Francorchamps and Monza are reputedly under the financial wrecking ball of
Messer Bernard Ecclestone, while France's event was beheaded by Bernie 'Wayback
in 2008...
Yeah, the Indianapolis 500 was part of the F1
calendar between 1950-60, although I don't think any Grand Prix regulars ever
contested it, with the height of America v Europe coming during the 1957-58
"Race of Two Worlds" held on Monza's banked Oval...
