Immediately following the season's final
race, the MotoGP circus began testing their perspective 2016 machinery which
will force everybody to utilize the series single, "common" ECU box,
which arch rivals Marc Marquez and Valentino Rossi both agreed will be a
massive step backwards for the sport!
Yet overall this is very good news, as it
will combine the two somewhat confusing classes of Factory v Open Class riders,
while Michelin replaces Bridgestone as sole tyre supplier with rim sizes
increasing to 17-inches.
Meanwhile, I'd missed another memo, this one
regarding thee Kentucky Kid's retirement from the world's elite Knee-dragger
series, i.e.; MotoGP, as the 34yr old Kentuckian will now tackle a new
challenge by taking up World Superbike (WSBK) for Honda's factory Superbikes
team. Which leaves no Americans racing
in thy pinnacle 'O two-wheeled road racing next year as Ben ELBOZ' Spies
and the Texas Tornado' Colin Edwards have already retired from MotoGP. Along
with the cancellation of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway round of the
championship next year...
