So this January, we'll be privy to watchin' another
of BMW's legendous' Art Cars poundin' round Daytona's High Banks...
In case Y'all haven't heard? That 'lil
Bavarian Motor Works company who just celebrated their Centenary last year, is
at I-T again, as one of its latest two legendous' Art Cars will contest this
year's Rolex 24.
Naturally, I ran across this info when
perusing Thy NFB Newsline for The Blind telephone service late one night in
Nofendersville - having just put to bed my BMW's occupies ACM tome. When the Car and Driver
magazine's headline caught my Attenzione.
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLLR) has
been BMW's "Works" Sports Car team for several years now, and will
contest this year's Weathertech SportsCar Championship with a brace 'O BMW M6 GT
LM's.
As
the RLLR website claims that longtime BMW Ace Bill Auberlen, who'll be
partnered by Alexander Sims for the entire Weathertech Sportscar Championship season
will be joined by DTM chauffeurs Bruno Spengler and Augusto Farfus.
As this quartet will be piloting the latest
BMW Art Car at Daytona, which naturally will run the No. 19 in deference to it
being the nineteenth Art Car, even if it's debuting prior to the eighteenth Art
Car; Oh Brother!
As my fascination
for these provocative rolling Art Sculptures was rekindled when visiting our
wonderful America's Car Museum in Tacoma, WA last October...
Yet even funnier for Mwah, is A-L-L of this
fascination with BMW's Art Cars, especially since I really cannot SEE 'em
anymore, since I'm Blind, right Mary Ellen!
And thus your visually impaired Vurd
Botcherer' is left solely to use his imagination over what the various Art Cars
look like, since I couldn't see any of the details when Ogling the two current
Art Cars on display at the LeMay ACM museo. Instead just looking like two predominantly
bright arctic white blobs shimmering underneath the lights...
