As 'Ol Bob Varsha would say: Turn U-P The Volume!
It's time to G-O Racing...
Ah, so
much for stayin' away from Thy Keyboard, albeit how could I forget to
"Pencil in" scribblin' about this year's DACK-CAR' Rally, eh? As
hopefully this teaser will be mercifully short 'N sweet, since I just started
perusing for News upon thoust yearly epic Desert Raid on New Year's eve upon
returning home from being Oot 'N Aboot' Up North Eh!
As this year's Dakar, taking place Jan 2-14,
has already run the Perfunctory Opening Day's Special Stage, with the 39th
running of the DACK-CAR' ramping up in earnest tomorrow, when Y'all can watch
the first of Peacock-lites' (NBC Sports Network) 30min vignettes beginning at
2:30PM Pacific. (Jan 3rd)
And whilst we won't have Robby Dirtmann
Gourdoun' (Gordon) to poke fun 'bout his Humdinger adventures in his Monster
Gordini Hummer, as Robby's still mourning the alleged murder suicide of his
father and Step-Mum, we'll have a new Yank behind the wheel of one of BMW
X-Raid's John Cooper Mini's, when rookie Yank' Bryan Menzies attempts to
prevail in this year's Dakar behind the wheel of the No. 312.
UPDATE
Obviously I missed another Memo, as Leigh Diffey
announced to Mwah during NBC Sport's first Day's Dakar coverage that Bryce
Menzies wouldn't be taking part this year due to a nagging injury suffered last
August; leaving Honda's Ricky Brabec as the lone American participant this
year...
As perhaps it's
just Mwah, but I found it nearly impossible to find any decent Cars category
previews for this year's premiere Desert Rally on Zed Internetz', which just
speaks volumes of how little Attenzione is being given to the Super Bowl 'O
Rally Raids; but I digress...
Lastly, it'll be fine with me if Aussie Toby "Duh
Prices Right!" Price goes back-2-back on two wheels with consecutive
victories this year, as he's my current favourite Bikes rider, whilst American Ricky
Brabec returns
with Honda for a second assault aboard the Factory #9 entry...
