Late Friday afternoon whilst doing my daily
News Trawl, I first learned of the legendary John Surtees death via the Daily Mail.
As Surtees, 83, was the only person to ever
win both the two wheel and four wheel Grand Prix championships, first
with multiple GP500 and GP350 titles in the precursor to today's MotoGP series,
before his solitary Formula 1 world championship for Scuderia Ferrari in '64.
As I briefly chronicled both the late John
Surtees and Damon Hill, another F1 world champion who cut his motor racing teeth
