As NBC Sports really is becoming our Motorsports
Network...
This year's 57th running of the Rolex 24
denotes the beginning of IMSA's newest television partner NBC Sports, (NBCSN) who've
inked a six year contract and replace FOX.
As the interesting part for this year's TV
Broadcast Booth will be thee Dinger', nee A.J. Allmendinger, who's also
contesting this year's Rolex 24 for his longtime friend Michael Shank, aboard
the Meyer Shank Racing's #86 Acura NSX GT3 Evo.
Meanwhile, past Broadcasters Brian Till and Jamie
Howe have joined IMSA Radio, alongside it's KURR-RACK' Broadcasting Troupe led
by Der Heindenmeir', nee John Hindhaugh, who's arguably my Numero Uno
Announcer!
And Duh Hits just Keep Ah-comin' as 'Ol Casey
Kasem would say. As the NBC Sports Network will provide substantial coverage of
IMSA's Support Series by airing 28 such races in 2019.
Meanwhile, NBC Sports has announced that
Leigh Diffey, Calvin Fish and A.J. Allmendinger will make up their Broadcast
Booth Announce Crew, which will make it very difficult for me to decide who to
listen to during this year's 24 Hours of Daytona - Since I'm also a Huge Diffey
Fan, Calvin Fish is very bright and if Allmendinger's anything like I've heard
him on numerous Speed Freaks interviews, will be a pleasure to listen to.
As NBC Sports will
utilize a Mondo' 17 Staff members comprising of IndyCar, RASSCAR'; Err, Uhm
NASCAR and its new IMSA Announce crews.
As a "Tune-up" for All of Thar
Announcers, Pitlane Reporters and Analysts, including the overly controversial
Pt', nee Paul Tracy. With the aforementioned diffey and "Professor
B," aka Jon Beekhuis along with Kevin
Lee patrolling the Pits.
As hopefully thee
Thrill from The West Hill, 'Ol Sugar Ray Tracy, or simply PT' can just stick to
his fine In-booth Commentary skills, and keep away from stupidly torching
others via Social Media...
Although as I've inferred above, I really,
really like listening to John Hindhaugh via Zed Internetz' - which presumably
I'll do once again this year for several Hours, since it's been at least two
months since listening/watching any motor racing.
As Y'all can check out where to go to get your DayToner';
Err Rolex 24 Fix below, as Don't forget racer.com's Wall-to-Wall coverage
also...
