Suppose I should have been wonderin' what was
up with the recent news that Harding Steinbrenner Racing (HSR) was only
bringing one car to this week's Circuit Of The Americas (COTA) IndyCar
Pre-season test. But I just ARSE-Sumed' they'd be splitting Seat-time between
Thar two Young Charges.
Thus naturally, it was quite a surprise to
discover earlier today that Patricio "Pato" O'Ward and HSR have
mutually parted ways, leaving the reigning Indy Lights Champion without a ride
for the impending 2019 IndyCar Season.
As the talented Mexican driver is now open to
seek employment with a new team, still retaining his Mazda Indy Lights
Championship bonus, for which I've got Zero Clue where he'll hopefully land.
But I'd love to see the Sage Bobby Rahal
& Co. at RLLR Snap Him Up, especially since Taku-san', nee Takuma Sato
can't race in Indy Cars forever, Righto?
Since I'd like to see Pato land at one of the non
Big-3 outfits, Although with less than a month 'til St Pete, O'Ward's pickings
for an IndyCar ride will be rather slim...
