Presumably by now you've heard that this
year's Indy GP and Indianapolis 500 events have been Postponed to later Dates
this year to reflect the ongoing Corona Virus, COVID 19 Pandemic currently
Sweeping thou Globe.
As the Indy GP will now be run on July 4th as
part of a Historic "Double" when IndyCar competes alongside NASCAR
over the Brickyard 400 weekend.
And the Mack Daddy 'O IndyCar races, the
104th running of the Indianapolis 500 will now be held at Mother Speedway on
August 23rd, instead of it's typical Memorial Day weekend slot. Which seemed
Obvious once News came that the Monaco Grand Prix had been Cancelled, which is
traditionally run on the exact same day as the Indy 500.
Although obviously Subject to Change, for now
the 2020 NTT IndyCar Series Season is set to commence on May 30th on Detroit's
Belle Isle when the traditional Double Header weekend is held, slated for May
30-31, albeit it's worth noting that Formula One's Hoped for Season Kickoff has
now been pushed back to the June 14th Canadian Grand Prix at the earliest...
