INDY 500: Let thoust Games beginneth’

But will the new Aero’ bits improve thou Show?

Now that the Texas Motor Speedway’s (TMS) Double Header event’s in our Rear-view Mirror, it’s time to Only have Eyes for Mother Speedway.

As obviously the 24 participants who raced at TMS make up the Bulk of this year’s fast approaching 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 30th. And with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing’s confirmation of Sage Karam in it’s single car entry a few weeks ago, there were Officially 33 cars entered. With a possible three further “Interlopers” awaiting confirmation when I began scribbling this following the St Pete IndyCar race.

Two seem formalities, while the other’s time seems to be running out? As I’ll list ‘em in alphabetical order. First was a presumed sixth entry from Mikey A’s cavernous Andretti Autosport stable,  with Stefan Stork’ Wilson at the controls of the #25 being publicly confirmed May 4th. As Stefan runs the No. 25 in honour of his late brother Justin B-I-G UNIT’ Wilson who ran the number when driving for Andretti in 2015.

As Racer’s article announcing Wilson claimed Thar’s 35 confirmed entries, with 17 Chevy’s and 18 Honda’s, but as far as I can tell, Stefan’s only the 34th entry announced…

A second CWR (Coyne Ware Racing) entry and third overall Dale Coyne & Company entry for Cody Ware, son of NASCAR Team Owner Rick Ware. As Cody will be making his IndyCar debut upon it’s biggest stage, having Already “Passed the Audition,” ergo his Rookie Orientation during this April’s IMS Open Test.

Although believe it was Sunday, April 25th when I heard via ESPN Online Motorsport Headlines that father Rick Ware said Cody needs to find more funding to make his Indy 500 debut happen. And if they cannot find the necessary Dinero’, then another better funded driver would be brought in for the ride…

Lastly is top gun racing, which has been teasing us for over a year now about entering R.C. Enerson as the driver of it’s New IndyCar Team, but never has announced who it’s engine supplier is, i.e.; Can Y’all Say Chevrolet?

Sunday, May 30th

105th Indianapolis 500

This Entry list is Unofficial and just what I’ve been able to “Cobble together” so far prior to the first Official practice session, hence why I haven’t listed Top gun Racing below. As Chevrolet has mentioned 17 engines to date, and Honda’s Full at 18. Giving us 35 Unconfirmed entries excluding Top gun…
