As the Race begins to See who’ll make The Show…
Anybody on Ye Planet who’s paying attenzione to
this year’s Indianapolis 500 Bloody Whale’ knows that practice for the 105th
running of this storied event begins today, with Qualifying this weekend, which
I’m Happy to report will actually be available on both Big NBC and NBC Sports
(NBCSN) for limited Hours of viewing both days, which you’ll need to Check your
local listings for times.
Cars, Teams
(6) Andretti
(4) Foyt, Ganassi and Penske
(3) Arrow McLaren SP, Ed Carpenter Racing (ECR)
and Rahal Letterman Lanigan racing (RLLR)
(2) Dale Coyne & Company, Meyer Shank
Racing (MSR)
(1) Carlin, Dreyer & Reinbold Racing, (DRR)
Paretta Autosport and Top gun Racing
As the only two changes from my previous Indy
500 Entry list posted here upon No Fenders on Friday, May 7th, which
you can find either below or in the May Archives section. Is the confirmation
of Top gun Racing, while the second Coyne Ware Racing (CWR) entry, officially
known as Dale Coyne Racing with Rick Ware Racing’s No. 52 entry was pulled due
to lack of the necessary Sponsorship Dinero’ to run Cody Ware or another unnamed
driver.
Thus there’s a total of 35 entries vying for
the eleven rows of three. And it’ll be interesting to see who languishes towards
the bottom of the Time Sheets leading up to Qualifying.
Naturally you’d have to Arse-sume that Top gun
racing with Indy 500 rookie R.C. enerson at the controls of their #75 Dallara-Chevrolet
would potentially be in (Townsend) T-Bell’s “Dangerzone” since they’ve got the
least Track-time of anybody Overall, having missed the IMS Open Test and only
doing a Shakedown run at Gateway, nee WWT Raceway. But I’ll predict they’ll
make the Show.
Whilst I’m expecting the series other Brand New
IndyCar Team Paretta Autosport to have No issues Qualifying, since after all
they’ve got a technical partnership with Team Penske and “Symona-Symona ,” aka
Simona de Silvestro knows her way round Mother Speedway!
As Beth Paretta’s three-quarter’s All Female
Crew is based in Morsville, North Carolina, and has been living ‘N breathing the
intricacies of Open Wheel Racing alongside IndyCar’s “Top Banana” Team Penske in preparation for their Debutante outing this
May.
Know two “Grumpy Old Men” debated over wheter
or not A.J. foyt Racing’s Dalton Kellett will be able to muster up the
necessary speed to make the cut? For which the Kuhnuck’ seems to have been the
Slowest Fulltime IndyCar entry so far this season, as I’m Not gonna pick upon
Jimmy Johnson since I think it’s Cool he’s trying something completely Out of
his Comfort zone. And I think he only had six days in an IndyCar testing before
beginning the season at Alabama!
As if I had to guess? I’d say that may be
either Carlin’s Max Chilton or DRR’s Sage Karam might get Bumped this Sunday?
As I’d have to lean more towards Chilton right now, especially after his Bloody
Visa Travel Issues forcing him to miss the Indy GP and his apparently Ho-Hum
demeanour towards IndyCar racing in whole!
Whilst I’m not sold upon half of, Uhm is that
three-quarters or simply one eighth? Of Mikey A’s Armada making the Show. Since
Andretti has six cars of his own along with it’s two car technical alliance
with MSR.
As Thee Mayor ‘O Hinchtown’ (James Hinchcliffe)
and “The dude” (Ryan Hunter-Reay) both
have had dreadful starts this year, and their Bad luck with the Cartoon Anvil
could conceivably continue. Although Hinch’ seems to be having more of a
Nightmare season than Hunter-Reay is.
Not to mention Marco Andretti who hasn’t turned
a lap so far this year. As I’m sure there’s a Stat somewhere about Pole winners
not qualifying the following year somewhere, Righto?
But I guess that’s why we All watch ‘N follow
IndyCar’s with Baited Breath, El Correctomundo? Since surely this weeks practice
Time Sheets will prove me wrong, Eh? As which Big Name will surprise us by not
qualifying this year?
“Gentlemen and Lady, Start your Engines!”
