IndyCar’s Silly Season rumbles On

As Come On down. Whose the next IndyCar driver to get off the “Merry” go round?

Sheez, Y’all try being a Blind word Botcherer’ who types at a speed of three words per minute – and “See” how far Yuhs get before more “breaking” News drops upon you!

Thus having already put to bed my riveting No Fenders IndyCar silly season story prior to July 1st, which must have been the start of “Open” contract negotiations?

I must say I was rather surprised to read the Headline that afternoon that Arrow Mclaren had confirmed Christian Lundgaard as Alexander Rossi’s replacement for 2025.

As you’d have to Arse-sume Rossi has options? Since reportedly negotiations over a contract extension broke down.

As this would lead me to believe that the now vacated No. 45 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLLR) Lundgaard seat is the best option on the grid. Even though you’d have to think that RLLR’s reserve driver Juri Vips is the heir apparent. Especially since Bobby Rahal has been speaking so glowingly about Him.

Hmm, what if RLLR signed Rossi to replace Lundgaard in the No. 45 and with no disrespect to Pietro Fittipaldi, inserted Vips in the No. 30…

While the No. 66 Meyer shank Racing entry would seem like Rossi’s second best option? Although I’d prefer David Malukas continuing with MSR next season.

As incoming Prema Racing’s two car entry is the biggest wildcard for potential driver signings.

As Rossi, at age 32 joins a logjam of potential Hotshues’ seeking employment. With the likes of Theo Pourchaire, Callum Ilott, Rinus VeeKay and David Malukas All being available next season.

And that’s just current IndyCar drivers, with no word on Indy NXT or European formula 2 drivers wishing to join the grid.

As stay tuned to find out whose the next Domino to Fall?
